Narayana Records presents
The album Initiations began to take shape in early 2025. Material for some of the album's tracks had been developing since 2010, but a "travel portal" that opened in 2012 transformed the musical trajectory and postponed the realization of these musical ideas until now. This Portal quieted down in 2020, allowing me to concentrate on sound and musical embodiments. Work continued throughout the year – quite systematically and comfortably, as the tools and musical techniques had been honed over previous years, but a great deal of effort was invested.
I wanted the album to be analog, and even old-school in some parts, incorporating many ideas and concepts that came to me during my travels. But, of course, also relevant for the current moment. The album's tracks touch upon deep themes of self-discovery, the eternal themes of birth and death, initiations and the acquisition of new knowledge and experience, travel, rituals and dances, meditation and rest, the interaction between humans and nature, unlocking potential and expanding consciousness, inner peace, and spiritual harmony. I strived to optimize the sound quality, making the album quite easy for the listener and danceable.
